Author's Notes: this is my first attempt a fanfic so please be kind
and send feedback if you want to hear more of this story.
Angelus was free and had cut the power to his soul half's office and apartment. The last thing he expected was to see Buffy standing behind him.
"Hello, Angelus. What brings you out on such a fine night as this?"
"A lovely little actress by the name of Rebecca Lowell slipped doximal into my drink."
"Doximal's a drug. The high you are on will wear off by morning. Angel is still inside of you."
"Yeah, but I'm in control right now, lover."
Buffy winced at the painful reminder of the latter half of her junior year. she heard Angelus talking, but couldn't concentrate on the words. She managed to tune back in for the last part of his speech.
"I think I'll do some more stuff to make him brood. You know he just loves to brood."
"What could you do that would make him want to do that? Besides killing and eating more innocent people. Just remember, the last time you were in control, I sent you to hell. I'd do it again if I wanted to. In a heartbeat. If you had a beating heart, that is."
"I have great plans for us lover. Just you wait."
"I hope those plans include being knocked unconscious and chained up until the high wears off."
"Not exactly." Angelus paused for dramatic effect. "I seem to remember you giving blood to your wayward lover, my soulful side. I remember that taste. Crave for it like you puny mortals crave oxygen. In my 243 years, I never sired a slayer."
Angelus moved to attack, but Buffy was ready for him. She ducked his punch and threw one of her own. He grabbed her arm and pulled her close to him, Wesley, Cordelia, and Rebecca still watching them from Angel's office.
"Get ready for a whole new world of darkness, Lover," Angelus whispered into his Slayer's ear before sinking his fangs into the scar Angel made.
Cordelia sprung into action, reaching into her bag and bringing out a cross, shoving it into Angelus' face. He backed away, dragging Buffy with him. He had stopped drinking when Cordelia shoved the cross into his face rather rudely, in his opinion. Buffy fell to the ground, unconscious from the blood loss.
Cordelia still held her cross menacingly out in front of her. "I won't let you turn her."
"And how are you going to stop it?"
"I once told Angel that if you ever showed, I'd dust you. I always make good on my promises." Cordelia shoved the cross onto Angelus' chest. He stepped back in pain.
"I'm surprised, Cordelia. Really, I am."
Wesley came up beside her and handed her a stake and a bottle of holy water. Buffy was starting to regain consciousness in Angel's office.
"You wouldn't stake me. Not while my pesky soul is still in this body. You won't risk losing Angel."
Angelus never realized that Buffy was standing behind him, her own stake raised over his back.
"I'm awake, Lover."
Buffy lunged to stake Angelus, but he was too qiuck. he had her in his grip before anyone knew what happened. Cordelia was still standing in front of him, stake raised. He had Buffy in a headlock in front of him.
"I don't think you will stake me now. Not with a hostage."
"What makes you think I'm your hostage?" Buffy head butted Angelus and broke free. She then kicked him in the groin and he went down. Buffy turned and looked at the actress.
"You need to get out of here while you can." She looked over at Wesley and Cordelia. "We all need to."
Buffy walked to the exit, everyone else following. Rebecca went back to her house, but Wesley and Cordelia got into Buffy's car to drive to Sunnydale.
"We should have a few minutes head start, at any rate."
Buffy, Cordelia, and Wesley were hiding in the burned out high school. They knew Angelus was around somewhere, but weren't sure exactly where.
"I need to contact the gang. They need to know what's happened." Cordelia thought for a moment. "How did you know Angelus was out?"
Buffy shrugged. "Had a prophetic dream. Angelus was in it. Knew something bad had happened when I saw that the power was out. Got a bad vibe outside the office and knew it was Angelus."
"Oh. You're lucky. You get nice calm head dreams. I have to get mind-blowing, skull-crushing migranes that come with pictures." Buffy grimaced. That did not sound pleasent. Buffy was restless. She needed to kick some unsuspecting vamp's ass and she needed to do it NOW.
"I'll be back. I'm gonna patrol and check in with Giles. Or you guys can go straight to his apartment. You guys don't have to stay here."
"We'll goes to the apartment." She looked around. "This place gives me the wig. Of course, it gave me the wig when it was in one piece, also."
"Just go, Cordy." They left. Buffy left too.
Patrol was boring. the only vamp she saw was Spike exiting his crypt. Until she passed the Alpert Mausaleum. Riley was patrolling there as well.
"Buffy! I missed you." He hugged her. "How did everything go in LA?"
"It didn't. We had to escape. I'm still looking for him. He should be around here somewhere. This was our fav spot to meet. ANGELUS! GET YOUR SORRY EXCUSE FOR AN ASS OUT HERE NOW!"
Sure enough, he appeared. Angelus sized Riley up. He would make a nice snack if Buffy tired him out with her endless talk.
"It's been a couple hours, Lover. Or should I call you wife? Cause that's what you are. My wife."
Buffy remained impassive but Riley was shocked. Why didn't Buffy tell him she was married?
"Of course you wouldn't remember. You're real good at that."
"You're wrong, Angelus. I never forgot."
Angelus stared in bewilderment at the Slayer. "You never forgot the day The Soul turned human and therefor banishing me to Pergatory?"
"You got it. Except for the part with you and Pergatory. He was human. We had lots of sex, broke the kitchen table, actually."
"Those idiot Oracles said that you would forget. And why the HELL weren't you fazed when I told you that Soul Boy gave you a wedding ring for your 17th birthday?"
"Simple. Willow explained it to me one night. I've known we were married since you killed Ms. Calender."
"Buffy, why didn't you tell me you were married? I wouldn't have slept with you if I had known. I'm a devoted Catholic and coveting another man's wife is a major sin. It's one of the Ten Commandments: Thou shalt never covet thy neighbor's wife."
"I didn't tell you because we had seperated and had nothing to do with you. Angel was Catholic when he was human 200 years ago and religion was much bigger back then. He still went to taverns and got drunk. Angel was a regular bad boy when he was human. You can eat him now, Angelus."
Both men were shocked. Angelus, because she was actually allowing someone to die and Riley, because she would allow him, her boyfriend (not for long, Riley "the HICK" Finn) to be eaten by a vampire.
Angelus shrugged and pulled the boy into his grip. He sunk his fangs into the blonde's jugular. The blood was bland. Very bland. Angelus could feel his soul being torn from his body once again. He knew Buffy could see it too.
Buffy could see that Angel was being ripped from Angelus and knew that it was her fault. She had just been so annoyed with Riley that she wanted him dead. Oh well. She had Angelus to deal with.
"You know, that boy just wasn't appetizing. Well, nothing is after tasting the greatest Slayer twice. I sincerely hope I get to taste it again."
"Nothing has changed."
"Except for the fact that YOU killed YOUR boyfriend."
"I did not!"
"You said to kill him. You have a taste for the dark side. Greater than anyone's. I saw you as I drank from Riley. The predatory gleam in your eyes."
"You were imagining thing."
"Was I? If I made you a vampire, that taste would overcome and be all that you know. All that you would want to know. Witn the right training, you could rival me in regards to cruelalty."
"And be like Faith? Who is in a come right now because I tried to kill her."
"I saw what you were like. Your voice lowered when you thought that you killed her. That's all."
"That was different. Faith was evil."
"But still human. I want you to kill someone with a pulse. Just go up to some unsuspecting person and snap thier neck."
"Are you insane? I could never do that!"
"But you will. When I'm done with you, you will wake and thrive for the kill." Before buffy had a chance to respond, she was pulled into into Angelus' firm embrace. He vamped out and brought her neck to his face. He quickly sunk his fangs into the fresh scab forming there. The drinking was quick and Angelus tore into his chest with his nails. Buffy brought her head to the flowing blood and drank before her heart shut down forever.
Angelus brought a dead Buffy back to the mansion, set her down on his bed, and waited for her to rise. He knew the gang would be worried but he didn't care. All he cared about now was the woman who would become his queen in time, after he trained her in the ways of the hunt. As Darla taught him, he would show her that family blood is the sweetest.
He knew it was better if the family thought the person was dead and be shocked to death. He also knew it was better if the family didn't know what went bump in the night. Angelus remembered far too well that Joyce knew only the basics of her precious Buffy's night life.
Joyce had wanted the best for her daughter and didn't realize that by sending him away, Buffy was destined to die even quicker.
Buffy woke up and tried to remember what had happened that night. She remembered coming back to Sunnydale with Angelus hot on her heels, she allowing him to kill Riley and them arguing about her dark side. The rest was a blank.
Buffy felt her tongue brush against fangs and brought her hands up to her face. Sure enough, it felt distorted. The rest of the night's events came back to her and she smiled. Her Angel had made her his for eternity. Together, they would rule the night.
Buffy heard Angelus coming back to his room.
"Good night, Lover." Angelus looked up, surprised. He didn't think she would come back so soon, but he just associated it with being the Chosen One in life. It would be interesting to see what other attributes she possessed.
He smiled at her, his traditional smirk. "Hungry, Baby?"
"Of course. I want someone sweet."
"I know just the person."
Buffy and Angelus walked side by side to her mom's house. They would deal with the Scooby Gang soon enough but before that was Buffy's first feed.
"Make sure you savor being invited. I'll be watching from the window so please kill her in the living room."
"I haven't uninvited you since last year."
"Yes, but your mother hates my guts. She talked Soul Boy into leaving the day before your Prom."
Buffy became angry, no stark raving mad was more like it. "That little BITCH! What did she say to him?"
"There were hard choices coming up and you not being able to make them, so he would have to. There was also something about being your mom and knowing what was best for you."
"How in Hell could my MOTHER know what's best for me when she was absolutely clueless for two years that vampires even existed much less that her daughter fought them on a nightly basis!"
"She seemed to think that I was responsible for the way your life was."
The lovers had reached 1630 Revello Drive. Angelus hid behind a tree while Buffy knocked on the door. Her mom answered a moment later.
"Hey Buffy. What are you doing here?"
"Can't a daughter miss and visit her mother?"
"Of course you can. Come on in. You must be cold in that shirt."
Buffy had on a blood red tube top with no straps and ended right below her breasts. Buffy savored entering the house and moved into the living room where Angelus could see everything.
Part 10
Joyce went into the kitchen while Buffy planned on exactly how to kill her. She decided she would have an argument with mommy dearest. Joyce came out of the kitchen and handed Buffy a glass of Coke.
"Mom, I just had the most interesting conversation with Angel. He's back in town and we are back together. Forever."
Joyce was not at all pleased.
"What did Angel have to say?"
"He told me that you put the idea in his head about leaving Sunydale and me. How could you? You have NO idea what my life was like and yet you think that YOU KNOW WHAT IS BEST FOR ME?"
"What kind of life can you have with a vampire, Buffy?"
"A very good one actually." Buffy shifted into vamp face and Joyce screamed. Buffy sunk her fangs into her mother's jugular vein and drained the life from the stupid bitch who thought she could seperate Buffy and Angel.
Angelus heard every word and smiled when his lover stole the woman's life. He could see that Buffy let the corpse drop and exited the house. He clapped his hands.
"Bravo, Bravo." Buffy came up and started to make out with her lover on the front lawn.
Ten minutes later, the undead couple were rudely seperated by an angry Xander. He was quickly drained by Angelus.
Part 11
Willow was worried. She and the Scooby Gang (minus Xander) were set up to do the Ritual of Restoration except Willow was going to be doing two souls. Tara had felt that Buffy was turned by Angelus. Willow and Tara had altered the curse to make sure that both souls were permanent. Tara would be speaking Romanian and Willow the Latin. Cordelia and Wesley were waving the smelly herbs around Willow and Tara. The Orb of Thessula sat on a scarlet cloth between the two witches. The two girls began chanting at the same time, all in the room unaware of what was happening with the subjects of the curse.
Buffy was pinned under her lover on his bed in their mansion. Angelus cried out in pain and stumbled to the floor. A second later, and equal cry of pain came from Buffy. Their bodies were illuminated in a blue light for several moments. The light faded and both were breathing hard and clearly human, except for the strength of a vampire.
